Season 9 has been out for several weeks now, and it’s time we take a look at the top Barbarian builds. On the PTR, many players were curious to see how the changes to the Wrath of the Wastes set would change the class, particularly if it would overthrow the meta build for solo pushing Furious Charge with the Raekor/Immortal set. With all that being said, I’d like to present my picks for the top 5 builds for the Barbarian.
1. Raekor King Charge Barb Build
We’ll start off with Season 8’s top build for solo pushing, the 3 Raekor 5 Immortal Furious Charge Build. Players looking to reach those top leaderboard spots will have a good chance of doing so using this build. Even with the changes to WotW set, this build still holds the #1 spot (currently) on the solo barbarian leaderboards.
2. Zodiac WW GR90+
As an alternative to the previous build, those looking to push solo can also use the Wrath of the Wastes Whirlwind Build, which is slightly trailing behind last season’s top build.
3. WW Barb Speed/Bounty Build
While the WotW set can be used for solo pushing, it also transitions smoothly into speeds. Those needing keys, gears, or bounty mats can use the WW Speed Build to satisfy their needs.
4. Seismic Slam LeapQuake
If whirlwind just isn’t your style, you could also try out the speed build using the Might of the Earth set. It’s also a pretty safe build for those opting to play hardcore, thanks to all the damage reduction you get from IP, APDs, and Band of Might. Fresh Barbarians can also start gearing for this, as this is this season's free set for their class.
5. Support Barbarian
Last but not least, those looking to top the leaderboards in a group setting will have their best luck with zBarb. Barbs are one of the hardest classes to play in group, and the zBarb really makes it or breaks it for their team.
